Its just that, i was realizing some things in the past few days.
I new a girl, I always think that she was the perfect girl for me.
But then eventually, there comes a problem within us,
it made me think at some point.

I realized that;

Stopping smoking: You can do it !

According to my resource. By now, even the tobacco companies agree that smoking is bad for your health, and not just bad but very bad.
Cigarettes are the most hazardous, but cigars, pipes, and smokeless tobacco also contribute to tobacco's terrible toll. And second hand smoke is an important cause of death and disability in people who never light up.
We are making progress. Many Filipinos have quit, and many communities prohibit smoking in public places. But 17.3 million Filipinos, aged 15 years and older, still smoke. Tragically, smoking kills 10 Filipinos every hour and hundreds of teenagers take up smoking every day. We can do better. Fortunately, there are more ways to kick the habit than ever before.

This is just an advise to my fellow Filipinos specially my friends, classmates, and neighbors. Its not for me, but also to the next generation of life. Let us nurture the environment, specially our health.
Health is wealth.
Thanks for reading.

Coffee in a different way

ANTIOXIDANTS
Anti-aging

If you think that antioxidants in coffee are only good for preventing diseases such as cancer and coronary heart disease, you're in for a big surprise.
They also help slow down the process of aging. Include a cup of coffee to your beauty regimen and your skin will reap the benefits. That's because antioxidants prevent cell damage which is one of the reasons for premature aging.
Not only can they help maintain your youthful looks, they also help preserve your young brain.
Another eye-opener: coffee is one of the richest source of antioxidants, much more than red wine, green tea and cocoa.
So go ahead and make coffee a part of your daily diet and have a healthy, young glow from the inside out.

To all people out there, this is just an advise. To those who are addicted to beauty products or aesthetics, why to use money for beauty if a cup of coffee is much better. :) But wait, it's not only beauty but also health.

cold day..

1st meeting to ob-class after preliminary examination.

I woke up early this day. I went to school 30 minutes before my class. I was expecting some fun events at this day. Yes of course, it was fun that at this meeting we didn't make a quiz, because as usual every meeting before the discussion starts there's always a quiz. But I want something that would make my day complete.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes of my ob-class. I went to the covered court (even though it was not a court, but it was covered) immediately. I was waiting there for someone I knew. After an hour sitting in the bench, I felt bored. So I went out of the school. I went to Hollywood (commercial place near our school, approximately 30 steps away). I brought some food and still waiting for someone / something that I don't know. hahaha. :D

After i finish my snack, I realized that I'd been waiting for nothing in there.

Yes, it was weird. But I don't really don't know what I am doing. Maybe I'm not aware to myself.

So now, I'm here at the house. I'm in front of my computer. Doing some task that my professor in Nursing Informatics assigned us. Browsing the net. Playing in the Facebook.

AND STILL!!! I want something fun to happen. hay!

And the unhealthy places are . . .

Do you believe in "feng shui"? (pronounced as fung shway)

It is translated literally as wind and water.

Feng shui aims to maximize the uninterrupted movement of chi, the universal life force present in all things, through the environment. While healthy food and clean water nourish our body, fresh chi nurtures our spirit. Like a gentle breeze, chi flows gracefully through space. but when this is blocked or misdirected, our health can suffer. Makes sense, doesn't it? Besides, 1.4 billion Chinese can't be wrong, can they?
Here are nuggets of common, down-to-earth healthy wisdom from MSNBC (June 8, 2010), which list some "surprisingly bad" locations for your health and best places to optimize it. So, here's a surprise quiz and you'd really surprised at the answers!

  • Worst place to keep your toothbrush?

Answer: The bathroom sink.

Bet you're guilty of this! But did you know that there are 3.2 million of microbes per square inch of an average toilet bowl, and all of those germs come to the fore every time you flush, landing smack on the floor and the sink? Let that thought sink in every time you flush the toilet.

So, where's the best place to keep your toothbrush? try keeping it behind the closed doors of the medicine cabinet or a nearby cupboard.

  • Worst place to stash your sneakers and flip-flops?

Answer: The bedroom closet.

Did you know that shoes track in allergens and contaminants? So, be shoe smart and leave your shoes by the front door.

  • Worst place to cool leftovers?

Answer: Believe it or not, in the refrigerator!

Did you know that putting hot leftovers directly in the fridge can cause uneven cooling and possibly food poisoning?

So, take this cool tip: leave food to cool on the counter for up to an hour after cooking or divide it into smaller containers so it can cool faster before refrigerating.

  •     Worst place to sit on an airplane?
Answer: Of course, you wouldn't want to be caught sitting in the lavatory when the airplane hits an air pocket. But the worst place to be during the flight is the rear! Did you know that the tail of the plane (or the bus for that matter) is where you'll get the bumpiest ride? I guess you already know that.
So, next time you fly, try to get a seat as close as possible to the wing if you can.

          ●     Worst place to put your handbag?

Answer: The kitchen counter. Did you know that according to the tests, there are 10,000 bacteria per square inch of purse bottoms? So, take this handy tip: Put your bag anywhere except where food is prepared or eaten.

Are you guilty of this surprisingly bad locations for health?
And are you shock with the best place to optimize it.

FATHER of the CENTURY!

I was inspired by this man, he is the dream dad for me.  He truly loves his son and he'll do everything for his happiness.
The doctors said that Rick Hoyt has a cerebral palsy and he will not be able to walk or talk and will be nothing but a vegetable for the rest of his life.
Dick and his wife Lucy refused to believe what the doctors said, instead they brought Rick home and raised him like any other child.

Dick never lose hope, instead he put in mind that his son would be normal just like every children.
Dick and Rick Hoyt are called as the Team Hoyt, they joined many marathons, triathlons and Iron Man competitions. Dick swims, runs and bicycles while carrying his son all throughout the competition.

When Rick was 12 years old, he found his voice using a machine which is a computer system created by a team of tough engineers.

With strong faith and determination Rick was able to graduate from college.
Team Hoyt's motto is simply "you can" and they do believe that everything is possible.

Dick is a real HERO to his son Rick.

diabetes...be alarmed...be cautious!

As a son i really care for my dad. He has diabetes and I want to educate him about his condition. But that wasn't easy because of my dad's stubbornness . He always says, "i know what i'm doing, this is nothing, and i'm alright". But that was before!
Just this April, his right foot up to 4 inches below the knee was amputated. And because of his diabetes, the wound takes time to heal and until now, the wound is still fresh. I always dress my dad's wound, I always give him his insulin almost 3 times a day and monitor his daily diet and also his sugar level. Still, we always had a hard time giving my dad lectures because his stubbornness will sometimes kick in. Yes, it's really difficult.
Then you would think the saying: "regret always comes at the end" is right. We didn't lack in giving my dad advice, it was his choice, and the consequence was there.

I want to tell everyone to be health conscious. Diabetes strikes everybody. Not just because you're young and strong doesn't mean you can't have diabetes. Diabetes is one of the rapidly growing illnesses in the Philippines.

Take my word for it.
